Editors Corner

Happy 2013!  It’s a brave new world out there and we are a part of it.  Twenty years ago my dreams of the future were of 2013.  It is here and so are we.  Now what?  I feel a bit like I do when I see a dog chasing a car.  I always wonder, what he will do with it when he catches it?  In another sense I feel like I am on a very long hike headed towards a single towering peak.  Reaching 2013 feels like I made it to the top of the peak I could see, but now that I am here I see I am but in the foothills of a majestic mountain range.  I long to rest awhile before I start the climb again, as I know I must. After all, this is the MastersConnection2020.com.
We kick off our New Year Edition with our favorite thing, stories from our readers. Their stories are straight from the heart. They are stories of manifestations, healing hearts and divine love and a long journey to understanding. Click here to read their stories.

Fabulous Wealth
Submitted by MC2020 reader Clive Cohan, UK

Hi,
I want to share my success story with the candle/card discipline. In August I learned during the online advanced retreat that one can make a card and focus on it with open eyes after trancing on the candle.
I made a card representing financial freedom and started focusing on it daily for about half an hour.
Early in September I received an email offering me a payment from a pension surplus fund from a company I worked for 22 years ago. It took me a while to answer the email as I believed it was a hoax especially when I was asked for my bank account details!
Eventually I sent my information and out of the blue as it were £4900 was deposited into my account on Xmas eve!
I am continuing to focus on my card as it represents freedom from my job...

Hope this inspires others.
Cheers
Clive

On The Phenomena of Epilepsy
My First Breakthrough in 23 Years
Submitted by MC2020 reader, Neil Kennedy, Rotorua, New Zealand

I was a reluctant groom when I came to Yelm in September 1989. I came looking for answers to something that had bugged me for over 50 years - the experience termed epilepsy. Medical science had been of little help and I had run out of options by the time I heard of Ramtha.  Not overly impressed but if he was as good as he was reputed, I would soon be good to go. Definitely worth a shot.. So I attended a couple of events and in early 1990 took the opportunity to ask Ramtha about the phenomena of epilepsy. He replied that "it used to be considered divine but its not quite". "And I give you a symbol, that of a lightning bolt hitting the brain"

Little did i know that it would take over 20 years to begin to understand his words, for the symbol to begin to manifest (I have had this symbol on almost all of my cards cards since this time) and to realize why he wouldn't give me a direct answer)!!!. I longed to ask him more but to no avail. For example, the first event I missed in 1996 Ramtha had Q&A for 4 days. I was definitely not impressed,.

The Annie Paisley Story
Submitted by Marian Clements, Yelm, WA, USA

Annie died in spite of it all – but we all learned about love and about giving. And we all know that nothing is wasted or lost.

After the autumnal Boktau Annie regressed, the cancer going rampant and it was necessary for her to go into the hospital for tubal feedings. When I saw her in mid December she appeared to be slipping into a coma. Her nurse spoke to me in hushed tones and her doctor informed her partner that he should make arrangements as it would be only a matter of a few days. So I sat by her bed, held her hand, cried and told her I loved her. I said goodbye.

A couple of days later I am celebrating Christmas with the Ram and a couple thousand of my closest friends. My beloved teacher instructed us to take the packages from beneath the tree and distribute them to the handicapped, the needy and the sick. My friend Flora received a gift from Avrial and she brought it to me without unwrapping it and requested that I take it to Annie. I said, “Look, that’s a grand intention but Annie’s dying. She can’t even open her eyes let alone a gift.” Flora said, “Take it to her.”

History of the Car Radio

Seems like cars have always had radios, but they didn't. Here's the true story:
One evening, in 1929, two young men named William Lear and Elmer Wavering drove their girlfriends to a lookout point high above the Mississippi River town of Quincy , Illinois to watch the sunset.
It was a romantic night to be sure, but one of the women observed that it would be even nicer if they could listen to music in the car. Lear and Wavering liked the idea. Both men had tinkered with radios (Lear had served as a radio operator in the U.S. Navy during World War I) and it wasn't long before they were taking apart a home radio and trying to get it to work in a car.
But it wasn't as easy as it sounds: Automobiles have ignition switches, generators, spark plugs, and other electrical equipment that generate noisy static interference, making it nearly impossible to listen to the radio when the engine was running.

Something Worth Knowing

Govt Bans 75-Watt Bulbs, Replaces with Mercury-Leaking ‘Efficient’ Bulbs
The days of the 75-watt incandescent light bulbs seem to be numbered. Stores may sell their existing stock, but January 2nd’s new federal law is preparing to phase out production and importation. Forty- and 60-watt incandescent bulbs will face the same slow death next year. The government is instead favoring fluorescent bulbs including CFLs, or compact fluorescent light, for the bulbs’ ability to use 75 percent less energy and last up to 10 times longer than incandescent. The problem? Mercury exposure. While CFL’s mercury content has drawn fire—which is usually snuffed out with instruction on proper disposal techniques, what often goes unmentioned is growing unrest related to research showing that CFLs may emit poisonous materials when switched on.

Something to Contemplate

Can Parallel Universes Explain The Déjà Vu Phenomenon?
Have you ever had a déjà vu experience? It's the feeling, or impression that you have already witnessed or experienced a current situation. The term déjà vu is French and means, literally, "already seen." It is a rather common, yet little understood phenomenon. Most of us have experienced being in a new place and feeling certain that we have been there before, but we have difficulties understanding how it is possible. For a long time, this eerie sensation has been attributed to everything from paranormal disturbances to neurological disorders. In recent years, as more scientists began studying this phenomenon, a number of theories about déjà vu have emerged, suggesting that it is not merely a glitch in our brain's memory system.

When the New Year Doesn’t End
The first day of the new year always represents the potential for profound renewal—a new cycle in relationship to the passing of time, a precious moment in which many of us feel we are getting a chance to start over. And for most of us, that chance is usually connected to our highest aspirations, to important projects we had wanted to accomplish, and to the many ways we intend to improve ourselves. The new year represents that moment when we renew our desire to evolve. The powerful experience of inspiration that many of us feel at the beginning of a new year is the recognition that we really can do something that we hadn’t believed possible before—that we are capable of breaking through to higher ground and reaching previously unimaginable levels of our own potential.

Meet the Weeds that Monsanto Can't Beat
When Monsanto revolutionised agriculture with a line of genetically engineered seeds, the promise was that the technology would lower herbicide use - because farmers would have to spray less. In fact, as Washington State University researcher Chuch Benbrook has shown, just the opposite happened. Sixteen years on, Roundup (Monsanto's tradename for its glyphosate herbicide) has certainly killed lots of weeds. But the ones it has left standing are about as resistant to herbicide as the company's Roundup Ready crops, which are designed to survive repeated applications of the agribusiness giant's own Roundup herbicide. For just one example, turn to Mississippi, where cotton, corn, and soy farmers have been using Roundup Ready seeds for years - and are now struggling to contain a new generation of super weeds, including a scourge of Italian ryegrass.

FDA Quietly Pushes Through Genetically Modified Salmon Over Christmas Break

While you were likely resting or enjoying time with friends and family over the Christmas break, the United States Food and Drug Administration was hard at work ramming through genetically modified salmon towards the final acceptance process. Despite the frankenfish actually being blocked by Congress last year over serious health and environmental concerns, the FDA is making a massive push to release the genetically modified salmon into the world as the FDA-backed biotech giant and creator of the fish AquaAdvantage screams for profits.

‘Alien’-Like Skulls Found in Mexico
Archaeologists in Mexico have uncovered 25 “alien”-looking human skulls with in a cemetery in the northwest state of Sonora, they said today. Some of the skulls showed “deformities,” said Cristina Garcia Moreno, who worked on the excavation project with Arizona State University, which analyzed the bones. The bones are about 1,000 years old, dating from 945 A.D. to 1308 A.D. “This was an Hispanic cemetery with 25 skulls, and 13 of them have deformed heads,” Moreno told ABC News today. “We don’t know why this population specifically deformed their heads.” Moreno said that scientists had found skulls in other parts of Mexico, including Guasave, south of Sonora that also showed similar deformities in certain groups of people. Scientists believe they put beams of wood on the front and back of individuals’ heads and wrapped the wood with bands to exert pressure on the skull, Moreno said.

Counter Intelligence Agency: Asteroid to threaten Earth in 2013
“The asteroid, known as DA14, will pass by our planet in February 2013 at a distance of under 27,000 km (16,700 miles). This is closer than the geosynchronous orbit of some satellites. There is a possibility the asteroid will collide with Earth, but further calculation is required to estimate the potential threat and work out how to avert possible disaster, NASA expert Dr. David Dunham told students at Moscow’s University of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM).”(Source: CIA – EU)

VeteransToday.com Editor:  The story below is based on NASA data available to the public, news stories released early last year but later suppressed and private reports from sources within NASA and the intelligence community.  NASA indicated that the asteroid in question was “not on their radar” as it had been the result of an “unwanted visitor” in our solar system, the result of the collision of a rogue planet entering the asteroid belt OR a piece of said “rogue planet.”

Byrd Station West Antarctica Warming Three Times Faster Than Expected
A new study finds that Western Antarctica has warmed unexpectedly fast over the last five decades. The western part of the continent’s ice sheet is experiencing nearly twice as much warming as previously thought. The temperature record from Byrd Station, a scientific outpost in the center of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS), demonstrates a marked increase of 4.3 degrees Fahrenheit (2.4 degrees Celsius) in average annual temperature since 1958. The rate of increase is three times faster than the average temperature rise around the globe for the same period. "Our results indicate that temperature increases during the past half century have been almost twice what we previously thought, placing West Antarctica among the fastest warming regions on Earth,” says NCAR scientist Andrew Monaghan, a co-author.

Titans of the trees: Stunning photographs of 3,200-year-old giant sequoias as high as 20-story buildings on Sierra Nevada slopes
Mammoth trees only grow on western slopes of mountain range running through California and Nevada

These are some of the world's largest trees, rising majestically out of the snowy slopes along the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Photographer Michael Nichols spent two weeks capturing images of the 'President' - the world's second-biggest tree which is at least 3,200 years old in Sequoia National Park, deep in the southern region.  Sequoias only grow on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada, a mountain range which runs 400 miles through Nevada and California. Giant sequoias can reach 247-feet - the height of a 20-storey building.

Matteo and the Marmots
The marmots and me: The school boy, 8, who has struck up a remarkable friendship with a colony of alpine animals. Matteo Walch has struck up a friendship with a group of marmots in the Austrian Alps. They are notoriously shy around humans, beating their tails and chattering their teeth to try to warn us off before emitting loud whistles to tell other members of their colony to flee. But when these alpine marmots see Matteo Walch, they scuttle to his side and show him nothing but affection. The eight-year-old built up a remarkable relationship with the creatures since first being taken to see them by his nature-loving family four years ago.

Could Digital Imaging Harvest a More Perfect Pinot?
New method could help identify the exact right moment to pick wine grapes.
Digital snapshots may make cute holiday memories for all to share, but now a similar technology may soon help create superb Syrahs or marvelous Merlots. Researchers have created a new way to peer inside a grape to identify its composition and variety through computer imaging. This could cut back on laborious chemical analysis for winemakers.  Francisco José Rodríguez Pulido, a researcher at the University of Seville in Spain, said that the new system could work for both small growers as well as large companies.    "The cultivation of the vine and the production of quality red wines are facing serious problems due to high temperatures and climate change," said Pulido, adding that it makes it difficult for growers to know when to pick.
