Editors Corner

I have it on good authority that 2013 is going to be a magical year.  That is, in this new year magical energy is available to be fashioned into your imaginings.  So, what are you imagining?  What are your intentions?  How do you want your life to be?  Today is February 1, 2013. One twelfth of 2013 is spent.
Did you spend it wisely?  Did you notice the quickening?  Are your thoughts manifesting faster?

What are your dreams?  Do you dream of peace on earth, a healthy world for you and your family or simply a safe and danger-free world for your children and grandchildren?  It takes a lot of focus to turn the tide of big business and big money interests into a consciousness that will nourish our world population.  The proliferation of GMO’s or genetically modified foods, Click here toxic gas drilling practices (fracking), Click here and garbage dumping in to the oceans Click here are just a few of the “unenlightened” practices that threaten our safety and ability to thrive.  Is it time for all of us to wake up and stand up?
This week’s newsletter is filled with information about these threats to our existence.  The information is substantial and unassailable.  When you read it or watch it on video, you will want to do something about it.  Share the information with a friend.  Download the GMO app on your phone. Click here  Be informed.  Be proactive.  Protect your family.

In particular, I would like to point out a full-length documentary we have highlighted in the newsletter entitled, “ Genetic Roulette”.  The link is here Click here and it is only available to view for free through February 2nd.   It is filled with the testimony of scientists and activist warning of the dangers of GMO’s to our food supply, animals and human genetics.  I recommend you take the time to watch and learn all you can about this vitally important subject.  Your health may depend on it.

This might be a good time to mention that our local feed and supply store, Yelm Farm and Pet is doing a great job of bringing in non-GMO feed products for our farm animals and pets. Follow this link to a coupon to save on your next purchase from Yelm Farm and Pet . Click here

Our featured article is a reprint from  It is a wonderful explanation of  “The Presence Process”, a dynamic tool to access and reprogram emotional blocks in our consciousness.  The exchange between the interviewer and David Ord serves to explain how the process works and its results.  It is a very enjoyable read and quite inspiring for one on the journey of understanding self. Click here

Some good news, which you probably already suspected.  Our junk DNA is not junk after all.  Also in the not so surprising category--A team of Russian scientist discovered that ” living human DNA can be changed and rearranged with spoken words and phrases.”
“The key to changing DNA with words and phrases is in using the right frequency.  Through the application of modulated radio and light frequencies, the Russians were able to influence cellular metabolism and even remedy genetic defects.”  Click here

The Unlimited Journey into Present-Moment Awareness
Interview with David Ord, Editorial Director of Namaste. “The Presence Process” book, a journey into present-moment awareness.
Reprinted with permission from

The Presence Process a book written by Michael Brown, came to me as a “messenger” from a close friend. Prior to reading the book, and after I had already made the decision I was going to buy the book and read it, I started to have very vivid dreams of my childhood. The dreams were clear and played out times of my life that were meaningful and had completely forgot about. Every time I would wake up, I had an “Aha” moment of great understanding. The experiences were of past times, but what was interesting was that the dreams were like a clear arrow pointing to what was happening in my life now, not back then. What seemed foggy and unresolved started to become clear in my mind and in my emotions. Soon after that, I started reading The Presence Process and realized I was already within the process before I even began to read the book itself. I appreciated the deep insights and took on the journey. So far it has revealed so much depth and understanding of who I am now, and why I reacted to specific situations that caused drama in my life, and this moment they are no longer important; that is incredible. It is as if the phantoms of the past are no longer haunting me or I am no longer interested on what was. What has become more prominent is what I choose now. It is never about somebody else, it is always about which lenses we choose to look through at the world. It takes presence to reach beyond our borders.

Michael speaks about presence as a state that we are all a part off, a common place that we can all share — I loved that concept. I then decided that I wanted to share what I had learned so far, and contemplated that if we can all be a little bit more present in our life, what a different world we could create. I then went on looking for a way to contact Michael. I couldn’t find any specific information to connect with him. I researched further and found out that his publishing house is Namaste and David Ord his representative. David suggested being Michael’s spokesperson, to my surprise he had an amazing amount of knowledge and experiences to share with us.

The Art Of Rock Balancing

Michael Grab is an artist that has been 'rock balancing' since 2008. Much of his recent work has been done around the Boulder, Colorado area. Grab---yes, that's his real name---finds the process both spiritual and therapeutic.

Grab explains:

"The most fundamental element of balancing in a physical sense is finding some kind of 'tripod' for the rock to stand on. Every rock is covered in a variety of tiny to large indentations that can act as a tripod for the rock to stand upright, or in most orientations you can think of with other rocks. By paying close attention to the feeling of the rocks, you will start to feel even the smallest clicks as the notches of the rocks in contact are moving over one another.

Light Your Water On Fire from Gas Drilling, Fracking

The yucky origin of fluoride
Why would a city pay to force its residents to ingest nocuous industrial waste for no reason? That's what the reams of documents on fluoridating water, the conflicting claims and counter-claims threatening to bury city council, boil down to. I was horrified to find out where the fluoride added to our drinking water comes from: it's an industrial derivative called hydrofluorosilicic acid, and it comes from the scrubbers of smokestacks at fertilizer factories. As Dr. Hardy Limeback writes in a letter to council, "I find it absurd that industrial toxic waste is shipped to the water treatment plants in large tanker trucks and trickled into the drinking water of major cities in North America."

Another reason to eat chocolate: it may cure your cough
Not everyone needs a reason to eat chocolate. But it’s always nice to know there are valid health reasons that support this pleasure. Even then, it’s no excuse to understand which type of chocolate has the most health benefits value. A December 2012 UK study with 300 patients in 13 hospitals used theobromine, extracted from cacao, to successfully stabilize chronic coughing. The amount used was 1000 mg of theobromine twice daily for two weeks. A dark chocolate candy bar high in cacao or cocoa contains around 450 mg of theobromine per ounce. Since the average dark chocolate bar is three ounces, it would take slightly over 2/3 of the bar to provide that amount of theobromine. By the way, the only differences between cacao and cocoa are the spelling and pronunciation.

Researchers: GM Crops Are Killing Monarch Butterflies, After All
If any insect species can be described as charismatic minifauna, it's the monarch butterfly. The gorgeous creatures flutter about in a migratory range that stretches from the northern part of South America up into Canada. The monarch is the only butterfly species that undertakes such a long-distance migration. And when they alight upon a place en masse, heads turn. No fewer than five states—Texas, Alabama, Idaho, illinois, and Minnesota—claim the monarch as their state insect.  Unfortunately, the monarch populations appear to be in a state of decline. Why? A new study (abstract; press release) from University of Minnesota and Iowa State University researchers points to an answer: the rapid rise of crops engineered to withstand herbicides.

Tangled Dolphin 'Asks' for Help
A dolphin tangled in fishing line sought help from a diver in the waters of Hawaii. The amazing encounter on January 11 was captured on video and the diver, Keller Laros, spent the better part of eight minutes tending to the needy mammal who readily accepted the help. Mr Laros was leading a group of snorkelers for a manta ray dive experience off the Big Island's Kona International Airport when the dolphin squealed out. The diver explained, 'The way he came right up and pushed himself into me there was no question this dolphin was there for help.' The group were enjoying the aquatic sights when suddenly they heard a dolphin cry and the bottlenose dolphin swam in their direction. Mr Laros told KITV how he soon noticed that the dolphin's movements were inhibited because it was entangled in fishing line and a hook was lodged in its pectoral fin.

Royal Canadian Mint Hits Silver Supply Shortage, Limits Dealer Allocation
Last week the U.S. Mint announced that it had run out of its initial production of 2013 Silver Eagles and that new shipments would not be available until late January. At that point, sales are expected to be resumed under an allocation process. The Mint has used an allocation process to ration available supplies amongst their primary distributors in the past, as opposed to allowing the distributors to buy as many as they want or need. On the first day of availability for 2013-dated Silver Eagles, authorized purchasers had placed orders for 3,937,000 of the one ounce coins. This seemed to mark the highest one-day sales in the entire history of the program. The strong demand has continued with sales now having reached 6,007,000 according to the latest information posted on the Mint’s website.

DNA Science and What Russian Researchers Have Surprisingly Discovered…
Russian Scientists Reprogram Human DNA Using Words and Frequencies
DNA science has finally explained previously mysterious phenomena such as clairvoyance … intuition … hands-free healing … “supernatural” light and auras … and more. The discoveries are to the credit of Russian researchers, who ventured into DNA territory Western researchers have failed to consider. Western scientists have limited their studies to the 10% of our DNA responsible for building proteins. That means they have dismissed the other 90% of DNA as “junk.” In contrast, an innovative Russian team, led by biophysicist and molecular biologist Pjotr Garjajev, refused to accept that such a huge majority of DNA could hold no research value. To probe the mysteries of this uncharted terrain, they paired linguists with geneticists in an unconventional study to test impact of vibration and language on human DNA.

The oils are more usually used in aromatherapyAromatherapy oils 'kill superbug'
Essential oils could kill the deadly MRSA hospital 'superbug', scientists have claimed.
University of Manchester researchers found three of the oils, usually used in aromatherapy, destroyed MRSA and E.coli bacteria in two minutes. They suggest the oils could be blended into soaps and shampoos which could be used in hospitals to stop the spread of the superbug. Hospital-acquired infections, such as MRSA, kill an estimated 5,000 a year. The Manchester study was triggered when complementary medicine specialists at Christie Cancer Hospital asked university researchers to test essential oils. They wanted to ensure they could not harm the patients, whose immune systems are weakened by the treatments. Dr Peter Warn, who carried out the research, said: "When I tested the oils in the lab, absolutely nothing grew. Rather than stimulating bacteria and fungi, the oils killed them off."

Cleansing with GX Assist and PB Assist
Who is ready for a physical and emotional cleanse? Have you ever wondered about the truth of the statement, “You are what you eat”? I have lived for years in denial of that statement. But somehow the truth never escaped my mirror. I chose not to look into the mirror, but when I recently got the courage to look into the mirror, sure enough, there was the truth staring back at me. I had convinced myself that my good intentions would trump my food choices, but the physical evidence told a very different story. I wanted to be radiantly healthy, but I didn’t want to put any “work” into becoming radiantly healthy. I wanted to be 20 years younger, but I didn’t want to change my habits to make it so.

Kindergarten Science 013Science Teacher Controls the Weather

It rained in science class on Tuesday, but don’t worry – it was a controlled storm, brought to you by Mr. Neil and his Bunsen burner, plus a little dry ice. Children in Pre-K and Kindergarten got to learn first hand about the water cycle by observing it. “Here’s the earth,” said Neil. “It’s hot! I’m going to make it cold up here using the dry ice. Now the evaporation is hitting the cold air up high. Let’s see what what happens.” Before long, drops were indeed falling. “Whoah! It’s raining!” cried Radcliffe. The experiment was part of a weekly class where some of Phoenix Rising’s youngest students get to experience what it’s like being a scientist.

Focus! Students See the Future Correctly

A magic moment happened in Ms. Megan's class this week. During a session of using iPads in a focus exercise designed to know the number and suit of cards in a deck before actually turning them over, Tahsis and Pyrenees were sharing an iPad with Ms. Megan. "When we got to the second card, I wrote down king of hearts," says Tahsis. "Pyrenees looked over, and he said, 'Hey, I got the king of hearts too!' We flipped it over and it was the king of hearts. We both got it without even looking at each other." For Megan, the experience was remarkable. "Seeing that, and seeing how many kids got the whole card correct was amazing," she says. "I have a math brain, so I'm very logical. Now I'm going home and saying to my parents, 'This is happening. There's something to this.'"

DSC_0081Learning Life Skills Through Remote Viewing

Challenge: how can we teach children the skills of focus, patience and perseverance in a way that is so fun and engaging they’ll want to practice on their own, especially when we as adults haven’t mastered them ourselves? Solution: arrange regular activities that are short, simple, and provide immediate feedback. Then include everyone, from the oldest staff member to the youngest student. This is the Phoenix Rising approach, and it’s getting remarkable results.

The number one tool our staff uses for practicing focus is remote viewing. The sessions are brief and are usually used as a warm-up activity or as segues into some other aspect of the curriculum.  “All the classes do a remote view pretty much daily one way or another,” says C.R.E.A.T.E™ Specialist Sonya El Debssi. “With the Pre-K you have an age appropriate remote view with pictures and  movement, and sometimes we have music included. With the older classes we have numbers and dice and bingo wheels.”
