Editors Corner

The “hot” news this week is all about the WEATHER.  The entire United States is sweltering (except here in the Pacific Northwest).  The power is out in some cities, making the heat even more devastating.
Listen to James Hansen explain the science of global warming and you will understand why the threat he has been warning presidents about for decades is inevitable. Click here  Maybe someone will listen now.

Again, we would like to ask our readers around the world to give us an update on your weather.  It is very difficult here to get accurate weather details of other continents. Send us your photos or stories.

So You’ve Woken Up…Now What?

Many people ask about this or something similar so here’s some thoughts on the subject. I don’t mean to tell anyone what to do, as that’s completely contrary to consciousness and conscious development, but I will share my understandings at this point and my passion for Truth and you can do what you like with it.

Question:

“What do you say to people who have woken up but can’t leave the system because of family and friends?”

This and those like it pose a very broad question since we’re all different and need to be led of our own convictions. However, the answer is fundamentally similar in every case.

Do what consciousness tells you.

There’s really no time for fiddling around once you’ve found what you know to be the Truth, which is always something clearly outside the realm of what you’ve been indoctrinated with. It’s always life altering. And if it isn’t, you didn’t hear correctly or it fell on deaf ears.

Haz-mat burial: Swiss Alpine radioactive trash dump
The first photos of full-size model of the Swiss site for safe disposal of radioactive waste have been made public. The Grimsel Test Site sits at an altitude of 1,730 meters, yet still at a depth of 450 meters beneath the surface. The main goal of the potential construction is safe geological repositories for all radioactive waste arising in Switzerland from the use of nuclear energy and from medicine and industry. The GTS tunnel system is around one kilometer long. It was excavated in 1983 and is now being actively developed by international scientists. The system for disposal of nuclear waste, presented on July 2, includes safety barriers and the transport of radioactive substances in the safety barrier system and the geosphere.

Drought hits 56 percent of continental US; 'significant toll' on crops
The prolonged heat across the Midwest has not only set temperature records, it is also expanding and intensifying drought conditions -- and relief isn't on the horizon for most areas, the National Weather Service reported Thursday. Drought conditions are present in 56 percent of the continental U.S., according to the weekly Drought Monitor. That's the most in the 12 years that the data have been compiled, topping the previous record of 55 percent set on Aug. 26, 2003. It's also up five percentage points from the previous week.

Sudden Red Rain Shower Causes Panic In Kannur

Sun erupts with the summer's strongest solar flare
This week's activity builds up to X-class flare; blast could come our way
The most powerful solar flare of the summer erupted from the sun on Friday, marking the latest in a string of strong storms this week from our home star. The sun storm occurred just after 7 p.m. ET and registered as a class X1.1 solar flare — one of the strongest types of solar flares possible, according to the U.S. Space Weather Prediction Center, run by NOAA and the National Weather Service. The huge solar flare erupted from the giant sunspot AR1515, which has already fired off several other powerful storms this week. Space weather scientists were closely watching the sunspot for possible X-class flares.

Controversial Artifacts

Controversial Artifacts No One Wants To Examine Thoroughly - Is There Something We Are Afraid Of Discovering?
An extremely high tech civilization definitely existed in the distant past of our planet, we currently know nothing about these beings. Most of what we can learn about prehistoric people is from the artifacts they left behind. However, certain prehistoric findings seem to be extremely frustrating when it comes to analyzing their unknown properties. One of them is the three-pronged plug embedded in a small piece of granite. Despite that the artifact is available to any researcher for analysis, not many of them decided to test it! Instead, the artifact has been categorized as a hoax - without any examination. Is there something we are afraid of discovering?

Remedy of the Week
Essential Oils in the Garden

It’s July and gardens are in full swing. Most everyone I know is endeavoring to be as organic as possible and avoid pesticides. Essential oils in the garden are the perfect solution to those pesky pests. Here are a few ideas.

Gardening Mixtures:

16 oz *spray bottle of water, 16 drops TERRASHIELD
16 oz *spray bottle water, 1 tsp. natural soap, (ex: Dr. Bonner’s) 16 drops oil, shake well.
TERRASHIELD is a favorite and is simple to use, but if you don’t have it on hand here are a few other suggestions.
THYME and LAVENDER are great for protecting all vegetables in the garden.
PEPPERMINT: Ants, aphids, bean beetle, cabbage root fly, and caterpillars, black flee beetle, flies, lice, gnats, moths.

What a Face! Art Workshop Brings Joy and Creativity to PRS

If you’ve ever secretly wanted to paint your child as a monster, last Tuesday was your chance. At a high-energy, fun-filled art workshop led by visiting New York City artist Stephen Bennett, participants of all ages got to practice painting each other’s faces. “It was really, really, really, really fun,” said Tahsis Fairley, an eight-year old student at PRS. “I got to paint people in all kinds of different ways.”

The session kicked off with a physical warm-up, followed by an “art warm-up” that involved drawing the person across from you – in ten seconds. The results provoked a lot of laughter, a common thread throughout the two-hour class held at The Phoenix Rising School. “It was a great day,” said David Fairley, Tahsis’ father.  “Very cool. It was fun to experiment and evolve the inner artist. Stephen was great – funny, engaging, inspiring and encouraging.”
