We send our thanks to the student who shared it with us.  Click here

God’s Chain of Love Unbroken
Excerpt adapted from: Ramtha, A Private Session. August 17, 2011

A recent participant in a Private with Ramtha was told that the teaching Ramtha delivered on Love should be shared.  And so now, with the permission of JZK, Inc, we share it with you -

The reason you are incapable of loving — you are incapable of loving everyone — is because you are still holding people under the pendulum of positive and negative. You don’t like people for a specific reason because it counters or perhaps reflects an element of yourself you are endeavoring to master. How are you supposed to know the glory of love without going out and meeting the adversities of your dislikes to know yourself and uncover yourself more?

Student: This is so true, Ramtha.

Ramtha: You have nothing to lose to find the purposeful good and love in every human being, no matter how overwhelmingly they represent the antithesis of yourself, because in order to dislike someone, you have just found a reality of yourself. You understand?

Student: I understand.

Ramtha: To parley with such once-enemies, that are only yourself as enemies, is a courageous moment to look at scoundrels and say, “I have quietly had fantasies that would make these people embarrassed.”

We like to dismiss people, places, things, times, and events, to expunge them from our reality so that we purify the moment and we have only the best. In reality, like Christ said, you should be dining with heretics, anyone that is not a Jew. Otherwise, what is the purpose of our life? If we do not know how to love ourself totally, we are absolutely precluded from loving the world.

Student: Ramtha, is love a state or emotion or both?

Ramtha: Love is not an emotion. It is a great question because everyone uses that word. “Lay down, I think I love you,” I heard someone say. Well, it is in the lexicon to jeersuitors who just want to bed you. And for women who must resist, they understand that this is not love; it is an emotional, sexual experience.

Earth Watch

Climate change: How do we know?
The Earth's climate has changed throughout history. Just in the last 650,000 years there have been seven cycles of glacial advance and retreat, with the abrupt end of the last ice age about 7,000 years ago marking the beginning of the modern climate era — and of human civilization. Most of these climate changes are attributed to very small variations in Earth’s orbit that change the amount of solar energy our planet receives.
The current warming trend is of particular significance because most of it is very likely human-induced and proceeding at a rate that is unprecedented in the past 1,300 years.

Tree and Branch Clean Up

Many of our fellow neighbors in the greater Yelm and surrounding areas have allot of trees and branches still down (or hanging) on their property and private roads. A few of us have decided to help each other going from one home, than the next to assist with some of the clean up. We share chain saws, trucks, pruning equipment, helping hands and the spirit of fellowship accomplishing a task that can to some seem overwhelming.  It not only offers encouragement and fellowship…it helps get the job done.

Should you desire helping hands and/or are willing to participate in the sharing of talents, vehicles and equipment, kindly contact us below.

Warm Wishes,

Raised Garden Beds
Hugelkultur instead of irrigation
Submitted by and MC2020 reader

Hugelkultur raised garden beds in a nutshell:

  • grow a typical garden without irrigation or fertilization
  • has been demonstrated to work in deserts as well as backyards
  • use up rotting wood, twigs, branches and even whole trees that would otherwise go to the dump or be burned
  • it is pretty much nothing more than buried wood
  • can be flush with the ground, although raised garden beds are typically better
  • can start small, and be added to later
  • can always be small - although bigger is better
  • You can save the world from global warming by doing carbon sequestration in your own back yard!
  • perfect for places that have had trees blown over by storms
  • can help end world hunger
  • give a gift to your future self

What’s in Your Idaho Potato
By Suzanne Wood of Winter Gardening Guide

I grew up in Idaho and the Idaho Potato is part of my heritage. We Idahoans are so proud of our potatoes that we put the slogan, “Famous Potatoes” on our license plates and drive around advertizing our pride.  With the advent of monoculture farming, large corporate farms and the influence that those corporations have on farmers and the way they do business, I decided to take a closer look at what is in my Idaho Potato.

The best look at the process that my potato, the soil and water go through on one of these farms, comes from Michael Pollen’s book, The Botany of Desire. Hold on to your seat, your in for an uncomfortable ride.

Near Death Experiences
118. Dr. Jeffrey Long Responds to “NDEs are an Illusion”

NDE Researcher Dr. Jeffrey Long responds to recent comments by Dr. Sam Parnia regarding near-death experiences being a “trick of the mind”.

Join Skeptiko host Alex Tsakiris for an interview with physician and New York Bestselling author, Dr. Jeffrey Long. During the interview Dr. Long is asked to respond to recent comments by fellow NDE researcher Dr. Sam Parnia suggesting that the near-death experience phenomena may be an illusion, Dr. Long said, “… I strongly support any researcher that has a reasonable opinion about near-death experiences. I think the one opinion that I think is not reasonable at this point in time is the absolute blanket statement that NDEs are illusions. There’s just too strong evidence forthcoming from my research as well as the research of others. I mean, by the time you have near-death experiencers with crystal-clear consciousness, the out-of-body observation seemed to be overwhelmingly correct in both prospective and retrospective studies, near-death experiences in those totally blind from birth, near atypical near-death experiences even while under general anesthesia, and it goes on and on. I think that’s pretty thoroughly refuted… when I read the interview it sounded to me more like Dr. Sam Parnia considered NDEs to be a research question. In other words, that’s why he’s doing this prospective study. The comment that stuck out more to me is ‘I don’t know’ in terms of what the cause of near-death experiences are.”

Your Feedback

February 2nd, 2012 - Hey, you guys,
Sounds like you got blasted. We had a similar scenario in October! We were still thinking pumpkins and hobgoblins when the snow and ice shut us down. Here in Buck Co., Pa, we have a lot of trees. The weather culled out the weak spots and shut off power for anywhere form one day to better than a week for some folks. The moment those lights go off everything shifts. And the beauty of having food and water and plenty of lamp oil is that you can actually enjoy it. Living by a natural rhythm is something alien to many of us. Going to bed with the sun, rising with the birds...one friend of mine spent two weeks with only a wood stove and felt a sense of loss when the lights came back on. Amazing. Attitude really is everything. Hope all are safe and well.
   Best,
      Susan

January 16th, 2012 - DANG you make it hard for those of us who want to spend less time on line! What a wonderful issue -- well, they all are, actually. I appreciate the love and lightheartedness and service to the community that shine through. Thank you so much for your contribution to our mind.
