My monkey mind has been swinging through the God neurons of my brain this week. Come to think about it, this happens often, I am just more aware of it since spending the evening with Ram via live-stream on Tuesday.

Teri Simpson is back guest writing our preparedness article of the week. She takes us back to basics, the fundamentals. She walks you through a day-in-your-life to help you make a working checklist of what you will need in emergency/hardship conditions. It is a very interesting exercise. If you think you are prepared—see if there is anything you forgot. If you are just getting started in your preparations, grab and pen and paper and make a big list as you read.

Next we are featuring a teaching from Ramtha from 2008 that was originally published by Super Consciousness Magazine, now SuperConsciousness.com. We chose it because it seemed particularly fitting given the uncertainty of our current economic, political and geophysical environment. When so much change is happening all around us, it seems appropriate to contemplate the possibilities in this teaching.

Tomorrow night is the full moon. We bring you some cool moon interactive photos to make you smile. Speaking of smiling, there is that smiling alien smoking a pipe again. He is making a return appearance this week because JZ made a comment about it we thought you would want to read. HMMM, I wonder who she is thinking about?

You have gotta watch the video titled Solar Roadways. I love this idea. I love great ideas. I love genius solutions to seemingly insurmountable problems. On the low tech side we have the “strong, silent type” demonstrating a simple gadget that will save you some back-breaking bending when it is time to split logs for the fire.

Dutchsinse is reporting on a volcanic eruption in Alaska and lots of earth movement in that area. Watch it. Stay informed so you won’t be blindsided by what is coming.

We have a new category this week. It is called “You Decide”. Featured this week is a 4 time lotto winner. Lucky or genius—you decide. On the lighter side, there is one “Lucky Dog” who wins.

Scalloped Corn sounds like comfort food. Couldn’t we all use a little comfort? Thanks, Jan for the recipe.

There are lots of events on the Community Calendar this week. Choose one—participate. You make a difference by just showing up.

Article of the Week
So you have your wheat and water filter – Now What?
By Teri Simpson of Optimum Preparedness

So you’ve decided it is probably not a bad idea to be a bit more prepared than the majority of people. This can be anything from preparing for being safe at home without power for 2 or 3 days (a pretty easy thing to prepare for), for maybe 2 weeks (OK, you’re going to have to put a bit more thought into it, or for a year or two in case something major happens. And this last scenario isn’t that remote when you have agencies like NASA saying it is a real potential.

Growing up in the mid-west makes one quite practical, partly because there are big thunder storms, tornados, ice storms and snow storms, all of which can leave you stranded at home with no electricity. So even the least prepared family has things like lanterns, candles, extra canned goods, warm blankets and the like. If there are storms in the area everyone fills up jugs of water and fills the bathtub with water “just in case”. And there are (or were) lots of farms there, and farmers are some of the most self sufficient people around. They provide their own meat, milk, fruits and veggies. During the Great Depression, the city folk were hard hit, but the farmers out in the country barely noticed a difference (except that the town folks were having a rough time of things).

When we decide to “become prepared” or “become more self sufficient” it is pretty obvious we need to supply some amount of food storage, store some “good” water, plus a way to make more good water (a water filter), and we’ve already covered the toilet paper issue :o)

But once you have buckets, cans and jars of food, and water stored up, a water filter, maybe even a hand pump on your well, what are some of the other items that you want to procure? What haven’t you thought of yet (that you’d miss big-time if you didn’t have it anymore)?

Changing The Timeline Of Our Destiny
Teaching from Ramtha The Enlightened One

HOW MANY OF YOU UNDERSTAND THAT POTENTIAL DESTINIES OCCURRING SIMULTANEOUSLY ARE AVAILABLE TO YOU?

You can draw your destiny line, the line of your life, with parallels above and below it of different options from your youth to your puberty to your young adulthood, different options, different paths that you took and journeyed on them for a little while. Following the expectations and the moral code of the society and culture that you came from, progress and draw a timeline that did not include my teachings — all of the changes, the healings, everything that has happened to you through this body and this canon of teachings. The timelines above your main line can vary. Think about all of the people that you know, the timeline of those who took drugs, the timeline of those who stayed with it. That is a potential. Those who abused alcohol, those who did not do certain things, marrying your first love, having the child you never had, taking an opportunity, going onto higher education, fulfilling a dream you had in your youth, all those are timeline potentials. Those float above and below your line of destiny without this body of work in your life.

Depending upon how reckless and destructive you were, you can figure out the timeline of your death. Those of you who hated yourself, contemplated destruction, or hated other people, you can figure out where your timeline and someone else’s timeline are about to collide, and that usually will mark your death. What was your life destined to be outside of these teachings? That is a timeline. Most of the friends and loved ones that you know today, would they still be in your life without these teachings? Take that in mind too. Don’t forget it is entirely possible that you could have been very successful and very prosperous and never had to have lived like you are doing now. Feel honored to be able to draw potential destinies happening simultaneously and then to have worked yours in a status quo. It is an honor to do that because most people have never even thought about this possibility and don’t understand what change is all about. What is it in you that determines destiny? Is it you who determines destiny? In looking back to your life prior — P.R., prior Ramtha — you can see how your life was destined based upon the choices that you made. You just made a choice and your life took off. Now you understand how broad was your choice base and how much did you know equaled how many potentials you got to choose.

Recipe of the Week
Scalloped Corn
By Jan LeBaron of Healthy Harvest

Here is a great recipe idea for the next newsletter.  I chose this recipe because there is fresh corn available for folks right now.  This will give them an idea of how they can use fresh vegetables if they have them available and if they don’t then they can use the dried corn from their food storage.

Ingredients:
2 cups garden sweet corn, dehydrated or freeze dried (or fresh if you have it available)
2 teaspoons chicken soup base
2 teaspoons onion, chopped dehydrated
1 cup sour cream powder, mixed with 1 ½ cups water
½ batch corn bread batter

Something Worth Knowing

Free Range? Grass-Fed? Pastured?
What are these?
Submitted by Cornelia O'Leary of NatureWise Farm
Jan, Have been researching chicken feed/nutrition for my flock and came across this website information which I found educational and I think it worth sharing. Maybe something for your ‘Something Worth Knowing’ or other section of MC?

Chickens; why grass-fed is best.

Grass-fed chickens and pastured poultry. The benefits over free range. The abuse of the term ‘free-range’ in egg marketing. Grain feed.

www.LionsGrip.com/Pastured.html

NatureWise Farm chickens are grassfed, pastured and grain fed along the these lines for the best nutritional combination for the chickens and eggs.

A fast and easy way to split a log

You Decide
Luck, Focus or Good Math?

SHE was called the luckiest woman in the world.

But now that luck is being called into question by some who think that winning the lottery four times is more than just a coincidental spell of good fortune.

Joan R. Ginther from Texas won multiple million dollar payouts each time.

The reclusive Ms Ginther, 63, who has amassed a $US20 million ($19.7million) fortune through scratch cards, is a Stanford-educated maths genius who may have cracked the code that determines how winning tickets are distributed.

First, she won $5.4 million, then a decade later, she won $2 million, then two years later $3 million and in the summer of 2010, she hit a $10 million jackpot.

The odds of this has been calculated at one in 18 septillion and luck like this could only come once every quadrillion years.
